My Philosophy
Sometimes it can be difficult to sort out all our feelings, especially when things are messy, confusing, and overwhelming. It is my belief that everyone can benefit from counseling to process the feelings that come with human experience. At the foundation of my practice is forming a strong therapeutic relationship with you. I believe the quality of our relationship is the basis of what can lead to healing. Gaining greater insight into yourself can help you carry out how you want to be in the world.
My main focus is working with neurodivergent folks who are navigating a world not built for them. I can help normalize your experiences by working through the grief that comes with feeling like you don't quite fit in and embrace creating a life that is authentic to you and your needs.
One of my passions is working with children and adolescents. It is often challenging for children to use words to express themselves that is required of traditional talk therapy. Using play and expressive arts can be a safe, and often fun, way for children to communicate and process uncomfortable and difficult feelings. In my work with children, it is also important for me to work collaboratively with their caregivers. I find that working together as a team can lead to the best possible outcome.
*I believe children benefit the most from therapy when it is in-person. At this time, I am only working virtually and am unable to accept child clients. I am accepting adolescent clients on a case-by-case basis.
I look forward to getting to know you.
*Currently accepting clients for telehealth sessions until further notice with the opportunity for occasional walk-and-talk sessions for established clients only.
"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.

ABOUT ME
AREAS OF FOCUS
I received my MA in Counseling from Saint Mary's College of California in Moraga, CA. My experience at Saint Mary's grounded my therapeutic focus in Client-Centered Therapy, while also providing me with other theories and modalities to draw from in my work. I use both a holistic and family systems lens while incorporating Existential and Strength-Based viewpoints in my practice. For children, I also use Play Therapy and Expressive Arts to get in touch with how we can connect with ourselves without using words.
I currently practice privately in San Francisco, CA.
